Weiss Men

I guess it will never end: Another case of corruption which has got some links to Turkey's ruling party, AKP...

A German court hears the case about a "charity" which is called "Deniz Feneri" (Lighthouse) and the first evidences are terrible.

"Large sums of funds donated to a charity by the Turkish community in Germany were transferred to conservative media organs in Turkey," a suspect has confessed lately.

Zahid Akman, who is the head of Turkey's media watchdog RTUK and a former executive of the Islamist TV which runs the charity, is one of the suspects. This guy is the man who has recently started to terrorize all television stations that broadcast news stories about the government corruption in Turkey. German authorities have just introduced an entry ban for Akman.

It is said that the suspects, including Akman, have been syphoned millions of Euros. That money had been collected from some naive, religious people, who just thought that it would be used for the poor. Akman is allegedly "the courier" of the criminal ring.

By the way, did you notice the name of the fly-by-night company which was established to transfer the Turkish funds in Germany to its branch in Turkey?

This company in Germany is called "Weiss GmbH"...

"Weiss" in German, "White" in English and "Ak" (or "beyaz") in Turkish...

AKP = AK Party?
