Chatting With Andrew Finkel On Ottomania, TV Series and Politics in Turkey

In Brussels-Istanbul flight on Wednesday evening, I ran into Andrew Finkel, an Istanbul-based British journalist who knows Turkey much better than almost all Turks.

I jumped in the seat next to him, which was thankfully vacant, and asked him about the subject of my latest post and one of his most recent articles for the New York Times: Turkish TV series and their discontents. We also talked about Ottomania in Turkey.
